D'Arpino's Italian Cafe

I went with some friends for lunch. I am not an Italian food lover, but I have to tell you my meal was delicious! I am taking my husband there this weekend. He will love it!

This place reminds me of the old country. Absolutely the best italian I have had since I left Italy while I was in the air force. Everything is authentic, the staff is wonderful, our waitress, Toni, was an absolute delight, She took care of our family, we never had to ask for a refill on our drinks, AND she took the entire order without ever writing a single word down! This is service with a smile, and I will forever be a loyal patron of D‘Arpinos. Give that waitress a raise! Two Thumbs Way Way UP! Good Job Mark and MaryAnn!

I know the owner of the resturant and I know his heart goes into every dish on the menu.I love the low key lighting in the place it gives a very nice romantic mood to the place coupling with the candles.The food is all homemade, fresh to order and served hot. My favorite dish there is the Chicken Alfredo.The bread served there is great as well!I love the romantic/family atmosphere that you feel when you walk in the front door.The fact that the family works there it gives it a great feel.If you love italian and great food D‘Arpino‘s is the place to dine!

Redemption! I was the first one who left a 1/5 star rating on this restaurant. It was absolutely the WORST dining experience I had ever had and, at the time, Olive Garden was MUCH better. My hubby and I HAD gone on a Saturday night and it was TERRIBLE! HOWEVER, we were "forced" to go back last weekend for a work Christmas party for my husband. The food was FANTASTIC (I had the cheese tortillini with marinara and my husband had the stuffed chicken breast that has pepperoni and mozzarella in it) and our waitress was pretty awesome too. We had a very large group (about 20 or so) and only 2 waitresses - even so, no one got neglected. Our waitress‘s name is Kami or Kali or something like that. She was great! We will definitely be going back! I‘m so glad that we had to take that second experience! Apparently the first time we went, they were having a REALLY off night. So, I say, if you didn‘t like it the first time, try it again; you may be surprised!

My girlfriend & I went to D‘Arpino‘s last Saturday evening. Our service was great, and the food was awesome!! The prices are good too!! It was the most awesome food I have had in quite some time and I eat out alot in Springfield, the flavor in scrumtious.....

D‘Arpino‘s is the best Italian in Springfield by far!!!! No one else even stacks up. Mark (the owner) has a passion for his cooking like none other.

We‘ve been several times over the last 2 years and each time the service is has been great and the fantastic. Be sure to call for reservations for Friday or Saturday since they get super busy.

This is the best Italian place in southwest MO by far! I had to laugh at the suggestion to go to Olive Garden instead. Not even in the same league. Go on Friday or Saturday and have the ribeye, and then thank me later.

I will never return to this restuarant. I found the food to be cold and taste nothing like homemade. The staff is very rude.... They spent more time talking to their family then they do waiting on the customers. Very poor experience

Consistently some of the best food and service in town. Even when they‘re busy (which is normal on the weekends) we receive good service and food. The Papa Leone pizza is terrific and the salads are always fresh. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. Try them sometime - they‘re great!

If I could, I would give my experience a 0. My husband and I went there last Friday night for a very much needed date night. We had reservations, but there was not a table immediately ready for us. When we did get seated it was another ten minutes before our waiter took our drink order. Then we waited twenty minutes before ASKING the waiter to take out order. He said that he would be right back to do so but didn‘t come back for another ten minutes. When we finally did place our order another couple who had been seated at least ten minutes after us received their salads and food first. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they were by far the worst that I‘ve ever had. They were filled with some kind of greyish-brown slop that I had to scrape off in order to eat them. When we finally received our order, it was completely wrong so we had to wait another fifteen minutes to get the right food. My husband ordered the salmon which was FABULOUS. I ordered something which the name escapes me, although it had "Marco" in it. It was supposed to have sundried tomatoes in it; it had stewed tomatoes. It had no flavor to it otherwise and I was only able to eat a few bites. When we complained to the owner‘s wife and our hostess, they DID comp our meals for us but tried making excuses for the waiter (his name is Steve B) saying that he had suddenly been slammed when he had just four tables to wait on. We were there for an hour an a half with only about thirty minutes being spent actually dining. To summarize, if you want a good dining experience with decent service I would recommend Olive Garden or Red Lobster over this place knowing that both of those places are kind of the fast food of a sit down restaurant. I also spoke with one of my coworkers about this restaurant and he said that he and his wife had the same experience my husband and I did; only their‘s was six months earlier than our‘s.
